Rafael Mata was born in Cumana, Venezuela, in 1967. His evolution as a talented musician and his successful career as a videographer for more than 20 years is fertile grounds for his growth as a photographer. From beautiful nature macros to a complex image manipulation, Rafael explores the world through a daydream state while reality remains despite perceptual desire.

“I’m interested in views of the world from other perspectives. These are not always attached to a logical reality. Sometimes I just want to escape. My dreams are in these works.
